Why Ride with Ensemble Cycling?

PictureThe keener bunch of a 12 person Bastide de Ventoux cycling stay, September 2013
Whether your cycling pace is Performance, Recreational or Not-At-All-Thank-You-Very-Much, it's always been tricky for cyclists of different skill levels to enjoy a cycling vacation together (and in high style.)

That's because traditional cycling vacations are designed to appeal to the extremes. The ultra demanding 150 mile-a-day training camp or epic excursions are too tough for a novice cyclist. (And a non-cycling partner is left feeling like a clumsy third wheel.) But leisurely 30-mile-a-day hotel-based tours will leave strong cyclists feeling they've barely even stretched their legs.

The solution is an Ensemble Cycling  villa-based cycling vacation which allows everyone, from non-cyclist to hammerhead fanatic, to happily bike vacation together.

The Off The Bike experience is ensured by our roots as a straight luxury European villa vacation specialist. For twenty years we've been an industry leader in creating exceptional European travel experiences. Market visits, cultural tours, special dinner arrangements, wine tastings, artisans, country walks – you name it. All that general interest vacation expertise and local knowledge – not to mention the support of our local team. makes a complete action-packed vacation.

Cyclists though will be in their element as we've chosen the best cycling villas in the best cycling regions in Europe. Each group receives a 75-page Ride Guide with maps and detailed rides that loop from the villa (so, no more van transfers). Both our Performance (60-100miles, hilly) and Recreational (25-50 miles, flatter) routes trace the quietest back roads and visit the most scenic villages. And you can build in extra à la carte cycling services such as Riding Leaders, van support, picnic lunches, massage, etc.

So, for any group of friends or family where there are cyclists involved, Ensemble Cycling is the one cycling vacation you can do together.
